The short version: one small item of storage remembers your cookie choice. Analytics cookies only exist if you've said yes to them, and “no” is always one click away, right next to “yes”. Nothing here is used for advertising.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember things between visits. Similar technologies (like browser local storage) do the same job. We use the word “cookies” for all of them here, for simplicity.
2. Strictly necessary
We store a single consent record (zd_cookie_consent, in your browser's local storage) so the banner remembers your decision instead of nagging you on every page. It contains your choice and the date you made it, and nothing about who you are.
3. Analytics (only with your consent)
If (and only if) you accept analytics on the banner, we load Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It sets cookies beginning with _ga, and we configure it to anonymise IP addresses. If you decline, these cookies are never set. If you accept and later change your mind, we stop the analytics and delete its cookies from your browser.
Analytics data is aggregated and used for one purpose: making this site more helpful. It is never used for ad targeting.
4. Form protection
Cloudflare Turnstile, the quiet check that stops bots from spamming our forms, may set short-lived tokens while you submit a form. They expire on their own and aren't used to track you across the web.
5. Booking a call
The calendar on our contact page is provided by Calendly. When it loads, Calendly may set its own cookies under its privacy policy. If you'd rather avoid that, you can always just email us instead. We're happy either way.
6. Changing your mind
Click “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page and the banner reappears with the same two honest options. Your new choice takes effect immediately. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings whenever you like.
