Things we’ve built

Software we designed, wrote and still maintain

Not templates or plugins bolted together. These are systems built from scratch for a specific business: statutory filing tools, booking and payment platforms, and automations that run every day without anyone watching them.

Client names, logos and screenshots are left out on purpose. Most of this work sits inside businesses and handles sensitive data, so we describe what was built and how it works rather than who it belongs to. We’re happy to walk through specifics on a call.

A practice management platform for a UK accountancy practice

Built to replace the off-the-shelf practice software a UK accountancy practice had outgrown: client register, statutory deadlines, Companies House filing tools, anti-money-laundering checks, e-signatures, client portal and an outgoing comms queue, in one owned system.

  • Replaces the off-the-shelf practice software, and the licence that grew with headcount
  • Built to submit confirmation statements through the Companies House XML Gateway
  • Anti-money-laundering and identity verification wired into the client record
  • 2,730 automated tests run on every change

Booking and payments platform for a sports coaching club

A bespoke booking and payment system that replaced a subscription platform charging a monthly fee plus a percentage of every booking. Same capability, no booking-platform commission on top of card processing fees, and the club owns it.

  • No booking-platform commission on top of the card processing fees, and the club owns it
  • Card payments handled by a payment processor the club controls directly
  • Children’s medical and contact data deliberately kept out of emails and payment records
  • Automated test suite runs on every change

An AI-assisted content production system for a regulated industry

A repeatable pipeline that takes a tax or accounting topic from research to a published article with its own artwork, social assets and search metadata, in the same shape every time.

  • Every article ships with a thumbnail, three custom infographics and social assets
  • Artwork is generated as vector graphics and rendered, not bought from a stock library
  • Every piece is human-edited and fact-checked before it goes anywhere near the site
  • One folder per article, with a fixed structure a person can pick up cold

Invoice capture and bank reconciliation, running unattended

The tool we built for our own bookkeeping: it reads supplier invoices out of the inbox, files them in the right place in the accounts drive, and reconciles them against the bank statement export when one is dropped in.

  • Replaces a recurring manual filing job, and runs unattended on a schedule
  • Byte-identical attachments detected by fingerprint rather than by filename
  • Reconciles filed invoices against a bank statement export
  • Runs on a schedule, defaults to a dry run, and has its own test suite

A document system where things can actually be found

A shared drive had become an archaeology site. This replaced it with a document system that files things consistently and can find them again.

Part of the practice management platform above, not a separate system.

  • Scanned post and email attachments indexed automatically
  • One filing structure, applied by software rather than by habit
  • Full-text search across the whole archive
  • Retention rules so old records leave on schedule

Automation that flags policies coming up for review

Policies carry review dates that live inside the document, which is the one place nobody looks. This tracks them and raises them before the date.

Part of the practice management platform above, not a separate system.

  • Review dates tracked outside the documents
  • Raised ahead of the date rather than after it
  • A record of what was reviewed and when

Search visibility for an independent clothing brand

A product catalogue that search engines could crawl but not understand, fixed product by product, plus the broken links that were bleeding the site’s authority.

  • Every product title and description rewritten for search and for people
  • Broken internal links found and fixed across the catalogue
  • A measurement baseline captured first, so the change is provable
  • Paid social tested alongside, not instead of, the organic work

Finding the clients who have not paid, and chasing them

Overdue invoices used to surface when someone had a quiet afternoon. This tracks who owes what, drafts the chase on a schedule, escalates when it is ignored, and stops once a payment is seen. Like everything else the platform sends, a person presses send.

Part of the practice management platform above, not a separate system.

  • Reads the accounting system on a schedule, so the debt list is as current as the last sync
  • Drafts chases on a schedule that escalates rather than repeats, for a person to send
  • Stops once a payment or a reply is picked up on the next sync
  • A full record of who was chased, when, and what was said

Ask a question

Tell us what the system needs to do and we’ll come back within one business day with scope, approach and a price.

What is your question about? (required)

Got something that needs building properly?

If off-the-shelf software nearly fits but not quite, that gap is usually where the cost is. Tell us the workflow and we’ll scope what it takes to build around it.
